Following two birthdays of the three-day birthday hell week I headed north Monday AM.  This was following a typical dead-end conversation w/ the Social Security Administration re: Helen's SSA 1099.  Near Pine City a flock of about 50 trumpeter swans crossed the freeway (flying) to the west.  Earlier a bald eagle was circling the North Branch exit.

Since the occasion was relief from HW my primary goals were to cut down blackberry bushes in the fenced in area and also to split some wood.  Those goals were accomplished.  No painting was done.  In fact I did not even go done to the walkout level with the exception of leaving the test gallon of oil stain for the outside.
